Cooperation
Kunstmuseum
Liechtenstein and
Hilti Art Foundation
Since May 2015, the Hilti Art Foundation has taken up residence in its own exhibition building in downtown Vaduz as an extension to the existing Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein for the presentation of its internationally renowned art collection. Important works of art from the late nineteenth century up to the present have thus found a permanent home in Liechtenstein, strengthening the country’s cultural offerings with lasting impact and reinforcing its reputation as an attractive location for art enthusiasts from near and far.
The long and fruitful cooperation between Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein and the Hilti Art Foundation, cultivated over many years with reciprocal loans and joint exhibitions, is now being intensified thanks to the new building. The presentation of the two independently curated collections takes visitors on a journey through the last 130 years of art history by way of masterpieces of classical modernism up to current tendencies in contemporary art. Above and beyond the collections, thematically coordinated special exhibitions round out the programme of the Kunstmuseum and the Hilti Art Foundation.
In addition to the exhibition spaces, the new building also supplies Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein with a spacious atelier for art education where an innovative programme of activities will be offered for all ages based on the latest teaching methods.
The collections and exhibitions of both institutions are accessed via the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein entrance (Städtle 32). The admission ticket for the museum is also valid for the Hilti Art Foundation exhibitions.
